Scholarships can be the difference between going to college and not going to college. They are designed to be a bridge in the gaps left by financial aid or to supplement private funding. The good news is that they are available in abundance and from a wide range of sources with various requirements and qualifications. |
| |
However, it takes some work to find them and to win them. Many of these scholarships will be easier to get if you begin preparing early in high school, and some competitions allow you to enter before your senior year of high school, making the final search for scholarship opportunities that much easier for students who have planned ahead. |
